"Gnats had a major affect on the 2007 American League Division Series Game Between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Indians on October 5th, 2007. During the 8th Inning when Joba Chamberlain was pitching, the playing surface at Jacobs Field became infested with thousands of Gnats. They swarmed Chamberlain as he attempted to pitch and resulted in a number of uncharacteristic wild pitches. Chamberlain had been completely dominant during the regular season, only allowing 1 Earned Run during his 24 Innings pitched."
I remember the tigers last trip to Cleveland was gnat infested! |
