Spoiler:

. It's the best film of that type according to the AFI. It's less than 90 minutes long.

Charlie Chaplin, eh? Ok, I'll give it a shot.

clap

Actually, Chaplin is on all day on 8/2. I need to get a new DVR for that. Not all his films are silent so you might want to check out the non-silent ones if you hate City Lights.

City Lights is arguably one of Chaplin's best, if not the best.

I have something I want to say about that movie but I'm not going to say it because I don't know anything about the movie and I'm afraid if I say it I'll learn something about the movie I didn't want to know.

Suffice it to say Chaplin was famous for tons of retakes in his movies to get everything right.

Robin Hood is corny but, as I've said, the details are simply enjoyable.

I haven't seen any sword-fighting movies yet so I thought I'd give this one a try. Corny or not, it has very good reviews. I probably won't watch it until late tonight though so don't expect a review for at least 8 or 9 more hours.

That's awful new. I still haven't seen anything newer than Schindler's List and that one is 9 years newer.

I think I'm going to watch it tomorrow morning (actually later today if you want to get technical). It's on the living room DVR so it all depends on whether my sister's boyfriend has his friends over to get drunk at noon or not.

He told me today he's never going to get hammered before he has lunch again, but he's told me that before. We'll see.

-------------

On a side note, the DVR is set to record some other new movies such as LA Confidential, The Usual Suspects, and I think a couple more.
