On another note, I hope that isn't the only pitch he throws when he gets called up (notice the grip in both images...it's the same pitch)! So he can throw a fastball, that's a start but unless it's 120 MPH he'll need something else to go with it!

He can throw a fastball, he's ready now! Heck, that's a 2-seam fastball grip he's got...or so it appears. The standard grip is to rotate the ball another 90 degrees but I think that's still a 2-seamer. It could be a changeup but I can't see what his ring finger is doing from that angle. I'd hope that isn't a changeup though because his grip on it sucks...

Quoting rocks! I'm not that supid. I'm certainly non-stupid enough to get through nursing school. I'm just too lazy to try to make up for my intellligence, or lack thereof, and get better grades at UCLA and volunteer at the hospital for 10 hours a week and do research for 15-20 hours a week and get paid what amounts to $2/hr ($1000 a year if you research 15 hours a week all year). I don't do any of that because I don't want to! Nursing school doesn't care if you don't do that first. I did enough volunteer stuff in high school. It sucks!

I've just gotten more lazy with school, I mean I used to be such a perfectionist, it really wasn't funny. (I got my first D in the 7th grade for example) School gets harder I realize that now....(took me long enough) When school's easier, it's much easier to do things the way the really supposed to be done- But when it's harder, it much easier just to be lazy about it.

I was never one to be a perfectionist. If something was hard, I'm not going to sit there and try to figure it out (unless it's something I find interesting). Calculus (we'll use that as an example) is not interesting. When doing calc. HW/Exams, etc. if I didn't know the answer oh well, fake it and see what happens. No need to spend time figuring it out.
That's why none of my friends went to places like UCLA. I hate smart people. They think everything needs to be perfect, and you can't do anything wrong. My friends in high school were of average intelligence and we did all kinds of activities that made my peers in school (i.e. the AP Classes) cringe. I stayed out all night, spent the night at people's apartments who didn't live with their parents, hung out with people smoking something other than cigarettes (I don't do drugs though), etc.

Only certain things I really care about, like you said really make you work hard at them. I try and if I can't get it, I just put down the best that I can come up with. That's all you can do.
And why did you go to UCLA again....(retorical question)
Well, I'm glad you didn't do drugs. I plan on taking AP Classes, my high school has an AP American History class you can take in 11th grade. I REALLY want to take that. |

APUSH...I took that. Got a 3 on the exam. I also took bio (3), spanish language (3), and stats (4) my junior year. By passing 4 exams and having an average of 3.25+ I was an AP Scholar with Distinction! Only person at my school!. Senior year I took English Lit (4), US Poli Sci (4), Spanish Lit (3)...only person in my COUNTY's history to pass that - school doesn't offer AP Spanish langue OR Spanish lit and I passed both! I took chem but got a 2. I also took Comparatie Poli Sci (it's free if you take the US one) but got a 2. We don't offer that class and I just guessed on it the whole time so that wasn't bad. I know a little about foreign politics but certainly not enough to pass a class!
