I touched his old batting helmet at the game this past Tuesday. If I would had a spare $125.00 it would have come home with me.

So I just rubbed the helmet and sent Please Come Back Sean vibes out to the idiots that did this.

Casey exits game with hip strain

ST. PETERSBURG -- First baseman Sean Casey left Friday's game vs. Tampa Bay with a right hip flexor strain, and his status is day-to-day.

Casey walked and scored in the top of the second inning but did not return to the field. Boston shifted third baseman Kevin Youkilis to first base and inserted Jed Lowrie to replace Youkilis at the hot corner.

The 33-year-old Casey entered Friday's game batting .346 and had multiple hits in five of his last 10 games. His career .302 average is 16th among active players with at least 3,000 plate appearances.
