He got less and less playing time through the year. I knew it was coming - but it's still sad to know next year when we watch a game he will never be standing there at first base Frown

Yeah, I think we all knew it was coming, but it still sucks. I am one of those who believe that player chemistry is a HUGE factor in how a team performs. I think we might be sad they let this guy go.

I was talking to one of my friends about Casey, and he doesn't like him at all. He is a nice guy but that doesn't help the team. I completely disagree with that though. If you don't have chemistry you aren't a team....you are a whole bunch of guys trying to win a baseball game alone.

I tuned into the FSN Tigers Year in Review just in time to catch them talking to Polanco. When they show highlights of Polly, they will more than likely include Sean Casey at first!! :love3: I miss Sean!!!!!!!! Love 2

I know the team is as strong as its weakest link. But Casey brought personality and color to the game. I will miss him too. Good luck, Sean-o, and keep bein' Mr. Mayor!

Agreed on him not being the weakest link. However, he definitely got the business end of baseball...you're not producing? there's the door....
In a way it was a credit to Casey's professionalism that he held his composure/disappointment during the final game. How awful to be fired before you start your shift....and then have to work that shift.
