| Anybody remember the "Hairy Southpaw"? 8)
He used to be my favorite TIGER when he played for Detroit. The TIGERS traded him for Chet Lemon but the guy was totally a great hitter. He had the biggest forearms I ever saw.
...and the hairiest!! :monkey:
Wonder what the "Kemper" is up to these days?? :drunken: |

He's 53 years old already! Where has the time gone... |

53! Yikes! Where has the time gone.... sorry, I just wanted to say something. That's all before my time but I figured this former players forum could use some posts. People tend to forget about history for some reason... Remember when Lady Baldwin won 40 some games for Detroit in 1886? _________________ Coming soon: A better signature! |

| A highly touted hitter while at the University of Southern California, Kemp was the first player chosen in the nation in the January 1976 draft. After only one season in the minors he was the Tigers' starting left fielder in 1977. He had a looping, lefthanded batting stroke and was neither fast nor graceful in the field, but he made the AL All-Star team in 1979 when he hit .318 with 26 HR'N-(((and 105 RBI. Kemp was traded to the White Sox for outfielder Chet Lemon after the 1981 season and spent only one season in Chicago before signing with the Yankees as a free agent. His batting average wilted to .241 under the pressure of high expectations in New York, and after the 1984 season he was traded with Tim Foli to the Pirates for Dale Berra and Jay Buhner. Battling vision problems, he hit only three home runs in 105 games with Pittsburgh in 1985-86 before retiring. (SCL)
I found this on BHIMI CAYCE's Conscious Coach website (Personal coaching is a type of consulting.):
Bhimi....I just wanted to say thank you for all of your help and support. Some of the issues that have plagued me for my whole life (trusting people, wanting to control things around me, insecurities, self esteem, and obsessive behavior) were brought to the surface and met head on in a very short amount of time. I have had counseling or therapy for some time but never really got to the bottom of things....and with you I was able to do that. I know that this will make such a difference in my life and the people that share in my life. The other thing that I know which is important to me is that if I fall back sometime, I will have you to turn to in order to keep guiding me in the right direction. I have come to realize that we all have issues and those that want to understand them can seek help and guidance to live a much more fuller and happy life. Again thank you for caring and understanding.

| Hi Bob Who are you looking for exactly or better: why did you choose the "New Players" thread? One thing is for sure: he seems to live in capital city.
He played for the Tigs from 1977 to 1981 as i see. But hey, we don't need an outfielder, we need relievers! _________________ "I'm on a mission. Mark my words: I'll be back, and I'll be able to do what I've been doing." Joel Zumaya |

| Merged two Steve Kemp threads.
As for the original question, try this site. That guy's book has a pretty good reputation amongst autograph collectors. _________________ Coming soon: A better signature! |
