Yeah they did!

They don't have Porcello pictures so I can't comment on his socks.

Think how good Verlander would be if his were high! Think how bad Inge would be if his were low LMAO

If Porcello wore high socks he'd probably make the team by mid-season. Without them his development will be much slower rant

I sure do. Like I said, I haven't looked at the stats myself, but that's irrelevant. I'm 100% certain high-socked / stirruped pitchers have lower ERAs.

Critics will argue my theory has a major flaw - everyone wore high socks prior to the 1980s and baseball had less runs scored back then. People argue that the increase in runs is due to steroids and what not, but that's a load of Censored

It's clearly due to pitchers wearing high socks.

High socks help batters/defenders out, too but pitchers more so than batters.
