| Spring training: Tigers 3, Indians 3John T. Greilick / The Detroit News 3/1/08  Dontrelle Willis makes his first start as a Detroit Tiger in the spring training game against the Cleveland Indians at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida on Saturday, March 1, 2008. Willis pitched two innings and gave up one run. The Tigers and Indians played to a 3-3 tie in 10 innings.  Tigers' Dontrelle Willis pitches early in the game.  9,068 fans fill Joker Marchant Stadium to watch the Tigers and Indians battle.  Tigers second baseman Placido Polanco hits a triple off C.C. Sabathia in the first inning.  Tigers' Brandon Inge, playing DH, leads off second base during the first inning, while fans fill the outfield berm.  Tigers' Miguel Cabrera chugs out a double.  Tigers' Magglio Ordonez jogs in from the outfield at the end of the second inning.  Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera makes a catch in the infield.  Cabrera makes faces in the dugout.  Outfielder Brent Clevlen makes a diving catch to rob Cleveland's Jamey Carroll of a hit.  Tigers' Ramon Santiago went 2-for-2 at the plate.  Cleveland's Grady Sizemore hits the first of his two singles. He went 2-for-2 at the plate.  Tigers' Miguel Cabrera waves off other infielders to make a catch.  Tigers' Chris Lambert pitched two scoreless, hitless innings, striking out one, and walking two batters in middle relief.  Tigers' Carlos Guillen makes contact, but failed to get a hit in three at-bats.  Tigers' Magglio Ordonez hits into a double play with the bases loaded. Ordonez went 1-for-3 with a single.  Preston Larrison pitches in the ninth and tenth innings, giving up no runs and no hits. He struck out one and walked one batter.  Tigers' Scott Sizemore breaks his bat while hitting a double in the tenth inning. The ball and the broken end of the bat flew out toward Cleveland shortstop Andy Gonzalez, keeping him from fielding the ground ball.  A ground ball and the end of the broken bat of Tigers hitter Scott Sizemore get by Cleveland shortstop Andy Gonzalez (left) and third baseman Aaron Herr (right) for a double.  Cleveland catcher Armando Camacaro tags out Tigers' base runner Danny Worth to end the ninth inning. |

| Yep, they do not want to overwork the teams, mostly this early in ST. They were actually surprised they went 10 innings. But with these two rivals, they wanted to see if there could be a winner. |

| But those BP jerseys worn by Cleveland and the majority of teams in ST games don't. Thank God the Tigers wear their regular uniforms for games |

I agree, some of the uniforms the other teams wear are fugly!!!! |

Tigers designated hitter Gary Sheffield winds up on this pitch, which he flies out to left field, in the first inning. Sheffield went 0-3 in his first spring training outing.  Tigers pitcher Kenny Rogers winds up in the first inning. In his two innings, Rogers gave up two hits with one walk and one strike out.  Indians' short stop Asdrubal Cabrera turns a double play as Tigers' Magglio Ordonez slides into second base.  Tigers catcher Brandon Inge digs a ball out of the dirt in the first inning.  Tigers pitcher Kenny Rogers winds up in the second inning.  Tigers pitcher Zach Miner follows through in the third ininng. In his one inning, Miner gave up no hits with one walk and one strike out. Tigers pitcher Jason Grilli scoops up a bunt before throwing an error to first base in the eighth inning.  Tigers pitcher Jason Grilli sits in the dugout after over throwing a ball to first and giving up a run in the eighth inning. |
