| Here's a recipe that's way more work than it's worth.
Take a bag of pinto beans and wash them thoroughly.
Throw them in a pot with some water. Add a diced white or yellow onion, a few cloves of diced garlic, some diced jalapeņos (the more the merrier), and some spices to your liking (cumin for example). Simmer and stir every now and then. Add water as the beans get too thick. Continue simmering, stirring, and adding water until the beans are cooked. This will take hours.
