MLB Front Office Manager

Anyone going to get this game? It's the first MLB game that I've seen that I can get for the computer since MVP 2005. It looks really cool and I'm thinking about getting it.

Good, you guys can get it and tell me if it's worth it. I really like MVP 2005, but it's getting old. I'd like to get another one and this is the first one that I've seen for the PC since that one. The only thing I don't like is you can't control the in-game. But it has a lot of GM features that sound really cool that could make up for it. Like the draft actually happens in June (like it's suppose to) instead of the end of the season. And the rule 5 draft! I've never seen that in a video game.

I was reading the play thread and it said you can control the game your team is playing like choosing the pitching rotation, what the pitcher is going to do, what you want your batters to do etc, as the game goes along. You can be the manager...

It does sound kind of interesting. Not being able to play is a bit of a negative, but I probably sim the vast majority of games anyways. I don't like to lose since that's no fun but it gets boring winning every game, too.

Yeah that part is good. I was talking about actually controlling the players. But I sim 95% of games in a season anyways, so it's not really a big deal.

Losing is boring. I don't mind if it's competitive. But it's those lopsided games. 11-1, 15-4, etc. I'll finish playing if I'm winning, but if I'm losing I'll bail out and sim the rest of the game in like the 7th inning. It's just no fun continuing a game when you know you're going to lose.

I read a few reviews of this, and actual game controlling only takes about 10-15 minutes/game which is about half of a MVP 2005 game, so that could be a positive. I'm just wondering if you HAVE to control every game, or if there is a sim option.
