So, my dad is really big on the idea of A-Rod possibley coming to Detroit. I told him that A-Rod was a previous SS and my dad FLIPPED and was like "OMG OMG OMG!! I FORGOT ABOUT THAT!" So, Now, He want's A-Rod at SS with Inge at 3rd. I'm down for that.

What do you all think?

It would be nice but I don't see him coming here. He'll command like $30MM next year and we won't pay that.

It would be huge having A-Rod on the team. Though he is expensive like hell.
But i really could live with that!

Just keep Bonds away from Motown!!

Boras suggests free agency in star's plan.

http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071010/SPORTS0104/710100355/1004

My guess is that he will leave NY. But not for detroit.

From what I've heard, he truly is a nice guy that NY fans never accepted. It was always a lose, lose with him and New York.

I've heard a lot of news broadcasters and what not [sportscenter, baseball tonight, fsn, BLAH!] say that there is a possibility he COULD end up in Detroit.

I think he's NOT going back to NY, but don't know where he's going.

It scares ME because, being sucha huge Brandon fan they might just throw A-Rod at 3rd and forget about Brandon. I don't want that. IMHO - Brandon is a much better 3rd baseman than A-Rod.

He just doesn't seem like a fit for our team. He doesn't seem like a team-guy. I can't picture him playing around in the dugout like we see our guys doing!

I said the same thing about Sheff and he proved me wrong.

BUT I totally see what your saying.

There's a pretty good Jon Paul Morosi article here:
http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071014/SPORTS02/710140650/1050/SPORTS

I definitely would not give up Maggs and Sheff!! A-Rod just would cost a fortune.
