Yup. It does. Practice and conditioning are hard. But I have a lot of friends and it is a lot of fun at the regattas and stuff. Although from what I have heard, the regattas also suck because rowing HURTS, BADLY. But you can only be in 2 boats per day, and they are like 5 minute races. So as soon as the race is over you are done, until the next one.

The football coaches say that our practice is a lot harder than the football practice and conditioning.

Our teams are guys ang girls. Like, practice and conditioning and all that is done together. We have to row different boats. Like, there is a girls 8 and a guys 8... and I'm not listing all the rest because that would take way too long.

And thats why you aren't a rower.
Nobody that ever says I can't can be. Because if you are like oh I can't run these miles then you convince yourself that you can't.

The part that sucks most - you wake up at 3:30 every morning. Earlier when we have out of town (canada mostly) regattas.

We have to go about a half hour to get to where we row every morning and night for practice. We have quite a few teams in Michigan, and then we travel for our different regattas (cometitions)

Traveling is nothing new to me. We have been on the road quite a bit this year. But its all good, the bus rides are awesome. The people make it fun, and we just have a blast.

We leave at 2:30 in the morning a lot of the time. So that gets us there at 7:30. The tents and boats are already there because they send parents the day before. Then we just have to unload the boats and stuff. Then of course we have to weigh in to make sure we make our boats. And usually we are either there for a whole weekend or the entire day that day. Leaving at about 9 then traveling the 5 hours back.
