Tigers to hold two select-a-seat days
New season-ticket buyers will receive bonus stadium tour

By Jason Beck / MLB.com

The Tigers will give prospective season-ticket buyers the chance to view and choose their seats Saturday at the first of two select-a-seat days at Comerica Park.

The event, which runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. ET, is open to new ticket buyers looking to purchase full or partial season plans, including the 41-game, 27-game or 15-game packages. Each fan will go on an individual guided tour of the ballpark with a Tigers concierge, who will provide information on available seat locations.

Fans who buy a ticket package on Saturday will get the bonus perk of a Tigers clubhouse tour, including visits to manager Jim Leyland's office, the team video room, past the athletic training facilities and down the umpire's tunnel.

All fans in attendance will be entered in a drawing for two Opening Day tickets, a bat autographed by second baseman Placido Polanco and a chance to throw out the first pitch at a Tigers home game.

Complimentary parking will be made available at the Tigers garage. The entrance will be open at the administrative lobby off Montcalm Street. Those who can't make it can attend the second select-a-seat next Saturday, Feb. 28.

The events are for potential new season-ticket buyers only. Current season-ticket holders who wish to change their seat location are encouraged to contact their ticket sales representative.

I bet a lot of people didn't renew

If my memory serves me right; Didn't the Tigers sell 2.6 million tickets before Opening Day last year

It will be a lot lower this year, unless they shine in ST!

I think it gonna take a hot start in the regular season;

I wouldn't be surprised to see Comerica Park half empty until Late May unless the Tigers start off red hot
