Conditions will continue to go downhill as the rains from the storm reach Louisiana later this morning

Gustav is now about 175 miles Southeast of New Orleans, moving at about a rate of 18 miles an hour.

It is a Category 3 Hurricane at this point.

Watched Fox/CNN for a couple hours this morning. Even though a Cat 3, still seems pretty strong.

Just wanted to say that we still have power, and are definitely alright so far. The winds will pick up pretty soon, and there is much more rain to come.

However; Rain and wind will continue through Tuesday Night

Flooding and Tornadoes are possible.

Let's hope it continues to weaken

By the way; Anyone hoping Detroit gets some of the rain later this week from Gustav;

Hi Everyone.

I'm back after being without electricity since about 1 PM CT Monday afternoon.

A lot of the state continues to not have power, but my sister's house was lucky enough to get it back last night. (that's where I am now and will be for the night)

Both of my homes (father and mother's) weren't damaged, but had a lot of debris in their yards. We were lucky as compared to my uncle, who dining room window shattered and part of his chimney fell to the ground, which let in water through the roof. Also, my aunt and uncle's home got about 2-3 feet of water in it.

I ask that you please continue to pray for our state and its people. Thank you.
